A MESSAGE TO NOMINATORS
The New South Wales Harness Racing Club welcomes and appreciates your consideration to nominate your horse for the Watpac 2010 Inter Dominion Championship.
Whilst the Championship is ours to host we do so on behalf of the entire harness racing industry in Australia and New Zealand and we seek your assistance by way of your nomination for Watpac ID10.
The Inter Dominion gives you as the owner, trainer, manager or authorised agent the opportunity to showcase our finest horses to the public not only at the races but also at other promotional events which the Club has
planned for Watpac ID10.
The Club in consultation with HRNSW and others have formulated Conditions which are innovative and will deliver our sport to a wider audience by conducting Heats in the heart of Sydney and in the massively populated Hunter Region. Tabcorp Park Menangle, the best track in Australasia, is located in the most rapidly expanding growth region in Australia where exposure of our champions will assist in the re-invigoration of harness racing.
Features of the Watpac ID10 Conditions are:
• $1 million Watpac Inter Dominion Final;
• Eight Qualiying Heats;
• Criteria which removes discretionary powers in field selections;
• Elimination of sprint racing and promotion of middle distance events;
• Assurances for fair and competitive racing with a focus on security, surveillance and swabbing to allow for a level playing field.
Finally, the best of racing luck to all concerned in securing firstly a place in the Championship and hopefully a position in the coveted $1 million Final however this all commences with pacing your nomination.
